February is Peace & Conflict Prevention/Resolution Month, and the evening of February 5th featured our first speaker from our Club’s Centennial Series.
A profound thank you to Dr. Fred Pearson, Professor of Political Science, Director of the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at Wayne State University and Past President of Rotary Club of Detroit, for the enlightening talk he gave about the current state of peace and conflict and the importance of positively managing and/or resolving conflict constructively. Videos about the 2017 Rotary World Peace Conference and Rotary Past President Sakuji Tanaka’s discussions about peace were shown, and are available for you to watch now:

Thank you to all who came out, and be sure to add April 9th, 2018 from 5:30-7:45 to your calendars and attend the Centennial Speaker Series #2 where Dr. Ron Denham, Founding Chair of the Water and Sanitation Rotarian Action Group (Rotary Club of Toronto-Eglinton) will be speaking about water and sanitation.
