Congratulations Khassan Saka

Congratulations to our member and community leader, Khassan Saka, for being awarded the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Pin. by The Canadian Federal Member of Parliament, Mr. Brian Masse, on Friday, May 5th.

Khassan was recognized for his active role in providing services to the community and society, spreading the principles of humanitarian and volunteer work and his efforts to bring ideas and cultures closer together between Canada and Middle Eastern countries. He was also recognized for the speech he delivered at the United Nations in July 2022 in Geneva during the Peaceful Coexistence Conference.

Khassan Saka is also the founder of the Integrative Canadian Group Organization (founded in 2014), the Chair of the Environment Committee of the Rotary Club Windsor (1918), a Member of the Development and Heritage Committee, and Director of BIA Wyandotte, in addition to many other committees!

We would like to congratulate Dr. Saad Jasim and his team for their winning paper titled "Critical Review and Research Needs of Ozone Applications Related to Virus Inactivation: Potential Implications for SARS-Cov-2"!

We Need Volunteers Now

Art in the Park is ONLY 22 DAYS AWAY

If you haven’t already signed up to volunteer at Art in the Park, please contact Dinesh Malla or Mike Drake
 
We are seeking volunteers for the following positions:
Gates - accepting cash and working the square
Satellite location (selling beverages) – with and without SmartServe
Vendor Washroom Security
Parking Lot Attendants
 
 

Art in the Park Tickets - $5 for Members

A limited amount of Art in the Park tickets are available to our members at a discount rate of $5 each. 
 
If you would like to purchase some tickets, please send an e-transfer to info@rotary1918.com with a memo in the description 'Art in the Park tickets'. Please use the password: Rotary
 
Tickets can be picked up at the office or Laura will kindly bring them to the Monday meetings for pick up. Before coming to the office, please contact Laura as she will be in and out of meetings and may not be at the Safety Village when you arrive.
