THE FUTURE OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF WINDSOR (1918)

On June 24, 2021, the Rotary Club of Windsor 1918 Board of Directors elected to begin a new vision process to determine the focus and future of our Club.

Facilitated by District 6400, we are asking members to participate in crucial discussions and activities to determine the vision and strategic direction of Windsor 1918. We have experienced many changes within our Club, community and the world since completing the last vision activities. It is time that we come together to establish our collective voice!

Please review and select your availability using the link below. Two dates are being proposed however, the date and time with the greatest amount of responses will result in the meeting date and time. The session will be 4 hours in length.

The proposed meeting dates are August 25th and September 1st, 2021. The meeting will be held indoors, a location is not yet confirmed as this may depend on confirmed attendance.

Please respond by Wednesday, August 11th.

Thank you in advance for your response and participation.

India Children in Crisis Project

Dear Rotarians and Friends of Rotary,

We are asking for your support in honour of an exemplary Rotarian who devoted his life to improving conditions in his native India, Hasu Naik.

He single-handedly raised over $1 million dollars and leveraged those funds by 2 or 3 times to bring over 30 major projects to completion such as the Rotary Eye Institute in Navsari, potable water projects in 7 centres, micro-credit projects, mobile veterinary treatment projects, a common development project for the tribal people in Kaprada, visiting medical teams and donations of a variety of significant medical equipment to hospitals and clinics in various cities.

WE NEED YOUR HELP
Today, we are asking for your help for the children of India who have lost many family members from the devastation that has ravaged India as a result of COVID 19. Assisting children in the early stages with their basic needs will prevent major costly damage to their mental health as they grow up.

We hope that you will consider supporting this unique project. All donations will go directly to the Rotary Club of Gandevi and they will provide the stewardship and facilitation of this project.  All donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt from the Rotary Club of Windsor Foundation Fund and donors with a contribution of $500 or greater, will be recognized as major donors for this Project. Your donation can be made in a variety of ways as outlined below.

Total funds raised to date: $12,510 CAD with the need for $20,000 USD or roughly $25,200 CAD.

Thank you to our major donors
The following have contributed $500 or greater: Children's Assistance Committee, Om Chandna, Ethelle Marsh, Bhav Dulay, Dr. Ashok Rajan and Dr. Macaro.

DONATIONS CAN BE MADE BY:
  1. Credit Card: Please contact the Rotary office at 519-253-6382
  2. E-Transferinfo@rotary1918.com  (password “Rotary”)
  3. PayPal:  https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=KDVZF92WXK6QJ&Z3JncnB0=
  4. Mail a cheque payable to:
The Rotary Club of Windsor Foundation Fund
7911 Forest Glade Drive
 Windsor, ON N8T 3R7

Donations should be identified as: India Project
All donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt from the Rotary Club of Windsor Foundation Fund.

Thank you for considering this request in support of the children in India.

Yours in Rotary Service,
Don              AshokDon Marsh and Ashok Rajan
