India Children in Crisis
Message from Co-Chairs, Don Marsh and Ashok Rajan

India Children in Crisis
Message from Co-Chairs, Don Marsh and Ashok Rajan:

As September comes to an end, we are most pleased that the funding target has been exceeded, a full month ahead of schedule.  Our tireless and humble partners at Rotary Club of Gandevi are grateful and in awe of such generosity from this Club.  A live Zoom presentation to the Monday club was followed this week at the Satellite Club with a report on an aggressive boots-on-the-ground action plan in rural India to benefit Children in peril.

We are thankful for your Rotary response and to the tireless WCS chair, Janet Kelly and also Jodi, Laura and Taylor for keeping the message alive.

Total funds raised of $25,146, minus the wire transfer fee will go directly to the Rotary Club of Gandevi and be converted to rupees.

We are also thankful for the funding of $,5000 from the Assistance to Widows Project and the Children’s Assistance Committee, as well as $3,000 from Neil and his annual Youth Beach Volleyball fundraiser.

If you are still considering making a difference to these children, it is not too late.  We will continue accepting donations by e-transfer: info@rotary1918.com. The deadline to make a donation is September 28th as a final transfer will be sent on September 29, 2021.

This year, The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) is taking part in Easter Seals' Virtual Event Camp to Camp! We will be moving 50 km in support of both raising funds for Easter Seals' 100th Anniversary Centennial and developing our Club's programs and services through a shared 50/50 split.

With your help, we can celebrate the Centennial of Easter Seals in our community in 2022 while illuminating hope for all those we serve!

The Camp to Camp trek can be completed safely from any location. Individuals can register at EasterSeals.org/camp-to- camp, where participants will virtually track their progress through their smartphones or wearable fitness devices. Supporters
can also sponsor any participating Rotarian individually or a “Club Team” by searching for their name (or team) online at the address above.

Finally, participants are encouraged to share their progress and gain support from friends and family by posting on social media with hashtag #Camp2Camp, #District6400, #Rotary, #IlluminatingHope and tagging @EasterSealsOn,
@EasterSealsONWE, and their participating Rotary Club respectively.
