India Children in Crisis
Message from Co-Chairs, Don Marsh and Ashok Rajan:
As September comes to an end, we are most pleased that the funding target has been exceeded, a full month ahead of schedule. Our tireless and humble partners at Rotary Club of Gandevi are grateful and in awe of such generosity from this Club. A live Zoom presentation to the Monday club was followed this week at the Satellite Club with a report on an aggressive boots-on-the-ground action plan in rural India to benefit Children in peril.
We are thankful for your Rotary response and to the tireless WCS chair, Janet Kelly and also Jodi, Laura and Taylor for keeping the message alive.
Total funds raised of $25,146, minus the wire transfer fee will go directly to the Rotary Club of Gandevi and be converted to rupees.
We are also thankful for the funding of $,5000 from the Assistance to Widows Project and the Children’s Assistance Committee, as well as $3,000 from Neil and his annual Youth Beach Volleyball fundraiser.
If you are still considering making a difference to these children, it is not too late. We will continue accepting donations by e-transfer: info@rotary1918.com. The deadline to make a donation is September 28th as a final transfer will be sent on September 29, 2021.
