Karen Howard - Creating a Memorial Park project  in Ghana

The park in Ghana is called Tony Howard Memorial Park. It will include swings, slides, turnabouts and a soccer field with two nets and be made in a large sandbox to protect the children from falls.

Karen will be providing running shoes and sunglasses for the children surrounding area of the park.  We will have a local man weld all the playground equipment and purchase the running shoes and sunglasses at a local store in Ghana.  Fr. Bennett will oversee the project and he was the one that found the land and got permission from the elders of that village.

Ron Arkell - Projects in Ghana

There are a number of planned activities in Ghana. The WCS committee, under Janet Kelly, is continuing projects for the upcoming year. Ron Arkell and Dr Godfrey Bacheyie are currently raising funds for Ghana. Ron has raised $2,000 for an orphanage in Jirapa. They hope to travel to Ghana in the next few months.
