URGENT: WE NEED Gleaner Volunteers!

Saturday, April 13th from 8 - 10 AM

Gleaners SWO is located at 40 Industrial Road in Leamington
Gleaners will provide gloves, hair and or beard nets, aprons and lots of fun.

The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) was chartered on April 1, 1919.

We've completed 105 years of service!

Our club will be sending a record number of teens (11) to RYLA this year.
Don Larkin has recruited the most students of any club in our district for this very important training event to take place April 19 -21 in Fenton Michigan.
Unfortunately, the local supply of 12 seat passenger vans for rent has been exhausted for that weekend. If you have a connection to same, please advise.
Alternately, we need two drivers with multi-passenger vehicles (mini-van or SUV) who can deliver these kids to and from Camp Copneconic, 10407 N. Fenton Rd. just two weeks from now.
The committee has budgeted to cover transportation costs for those who take on this task.
Please contact President Allan, or Laura if you are willing to help.

The Rotary Club has partnered with The Windsor Essex Food Bank Association (WEFBA) to organize a concurrent food drive. This initiative aims to address specific shortages in local food banks, targeting four essential items:
  • Dry Pasta (300 to 700 grams in a box or bag)
  • Pasta Sauce (680 to 737 grams in a jar or can)
  • Rice (1 to 2 kilograms in a bag)
  • Children's Snacks (including goldfish, fruit cups, granola bars, peanut butter and crackers, cheese and crackers)
All food donations will support The Windsor Essex Food Bank Association, which represents 15 food banks across Windsor-Essex County.

Donations will be accepted
at the Rotary office during business hours.

Kindly forward this information to your contacts and help us spread the word!

Help Recruit Peace &
Development Leaders

You can help promote peace in the world by encouraging peace and development leaders in your community to apply for the Rotary Peace Fellowship. Each year, Rotary awards up to 130 fully funded fellowships for peacebuilders from diverse backgrounds to study at one of our peace centers located at leading universities around the world.
This year, we’ll select 50 peace fellows to study in our master’s degree programs at six partner universities in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the United States and 80 fellows to earn postgraduate diplomas through our professional development certificate programs at Makerere University in Uganda and Bahçeşehir University in Turkey.
Rotary Peace Fellows use their training to amplify their work at the local, regional, or global level. Together, we can advance peace by encouraging our local peacebuilders to learn about Rotary and apply for this unique fellowship. But we need your help finding candidates.
Rotary and Rotaract members can get involved by:
Visiting the Rotary Peace Centers Facebook page for application graphics and posts to share
Forwarding the fellowship announcement to your contacts and including it in club and district communications Using our referral form so potential candidates can receive more information and apply
Candidates have until 15 May to submit applications to The Rotary Foundation.
Thanks to generous support from donors and the dedicated participation of Rotary members, the peace fellowship program has more than 1,700 alumni working to make positive change in more than 140 countries.
Many program alumni have founded their own organizations to address critical issues or serve as leaders in governments, nongovernmental organizations, educational and research institutions, media and the arts, and international organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank. To learn more about how you can recruit the next generation of peace fellows, contact your district Rotary Peace Fellowship subcommittee chair or write to
