On June 24, 2021, the Rotary Club of Windsor 1918 Board of Directors elected to begin a new vision process to determine the focus and future of our Club.
Facilitated by District 6400, we are asking members to participate in crucial discussions and activities to determine the vision and strategic direction of Windsor 1918. We have experienced many changes within our Club, community and the world since completing the last vision activities. It is time that we come together to establish our collective voice!
Please review and select your availability using the link below. Two dates are being proposed however, the date and time with the greatest amount of responses will result in the meeting date and time. The session will be 4 hours in length.
The proposed meeting dates are August 25th and September 1st, 2021. The meeting will be held indoors, a location is not yet confirmed as this may depend on confirmed attendance.

Annual District Governor Visit
Our annual visit from our District Governor is scheduled for Monday, August 23, 12:30 to 1:30 pm, during our Monday meeting.
DG Aruna Koushik will be our guest and the meeting will be held in person only at the Bistro at 78 Riverside Dr from 12:30 to 1:30. A lunch menu will be available for those interested at members' expense.

We are asking for your support in honour of an exemplary Rotarian who devoted his life to improving conditions in his native India, Hasu Naik.
He single-handedly raised over $1 million dollars and leveraged those funds by 2 or 3 times to bring over 30 major projects to completion such as the Rotary Eye Institute in Navsari, potable water projects in 7 centres, micro-credit projects, mobile veterinary treatment projects, a common development project for the tribal people in Kaprada, visiting medical teams and donations of a variety of significant medical equipment to hospitals and clinics in various cities.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
Today, we are asking for your help for the children of India who have lost many family members from the devastation that has ravaged India as a result of COVID 19. Assisting children in the early stages with their basic needs will prevent major costly damage to their mental health as they grow up.
We hope that you will consider supporting this unique project. All donations will go directly to the Rotary Club of Gandevi and they will provide the stewardship and facilitation of this project. All donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt from the Rotary Club of Windsor Foundation Fund and donors with a contribution of $500 or greater, will be recognized as major donors for this Project. Your donation can be made in a variety of ways as outlined below.
Total funds raised to date: $15,570. CAD with the need for $20,000 USD or roughly $25,200 CAD.

Will You Be Our Hope Champion?
In support of the "Serve to Change Lives" theme, DG Aruna has identified the Illuminating Hope Project.
We are seeking a “Hope Champion” to work with President Cindy to act as the record-keeper and record the stories in the Illuminating Hope Service Passport.
At the end of the year, the President and the Hope Champion will:
1. Choose the best project that represents our club
2. Write an article replete with pictures, and these will be showcased in the Illuminating Hope Magazine at the District Conference 2022.
