Impact of All-Star Gaming Funds:
The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) is able to change lives thanks to the contributions and opportunities provided through our partnership with the All-Star Gaming Centre.
Here are a few ways that together our financial contributions have made a significant change in the lives of those who need it.
The gift of a wheelchair & independence
With the support of All-Star Gaming, the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) was able to afford a donation of $1,000 to a recipient of the Adult Assistance Program. This donation assisted with providing a power wheelchair to a person in need of aid. The recipient shared, “As luck would have it, I did Holy Week the same as the past 4 by streaming services. I love the wheelchair. With the mild winter we had, I was able to do my banking, grocery shopping and even a bit of Christmas shopping by myself. It felt good not to just give gift cards to my family but actual physical presents."
Investing in our youth! In February 2020 the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) was able to support the annual WE Day X Windsor education event and movement, held at St. Clair College for the Arts. This annual event enables young people to actively work towards and lead local and global changes. It is reported that this 2020 event brought together close to 1,200 students from the Windsor Essex County District School Board to work towards being change-makers in our community.
The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) is able to support the WE Day X Windsor event and others with the ongoing contributions from All-Star Gaming (previously from Classic IV).
We look forward to continuing this partnership with All-Star Gaming Centre and making a lasting impact in our community!
