The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) was pleased to welcome Dr. Drew Marquardt, Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Windsor and cross-appointed in Physics, for an engaging presentation on the fascinating role of neutrons in scientific discovery.
During his presentation, "Neutrons, Biological Membranes & the Future of Medical Research," Dr. Marquardt explained what neutrons are, how they are produced, and why they are such valuable tools in modern research. Members and guests learned how neutron scattering is used to study biological membranes at the molecular level, providing insights that have significant potential to advance medical research and improve future treatments.
Dr. Marquardt also shared the exciting opportunities for Windsor to play a leading role in this field, highlighting the University's world-class research and the potential for our community to become an important centre for scientific innovation.

We want to continue to do great work locally and globally, but we need you! To qualify for District 6400 grants, our members must each donate $100 USD (the per capita giving amount) to the Annual Fund.
The grants allow our club to complete many of our charitable projects and initiatives throughout the year. Your donation must be made by the end of May each year to qualify.
