The keynote speaker for the day is author Susan Raby-Dunne who has written several books on the Great War, most notably John McCrae-Beyond Flanders Fields. Raby-Dunne creates an uncommon and memorable portrait of the beloved soldier/physician/poet throughout her presentation.
There will also be a short Commemorative Service conducted with military personnel from The Windsor Regiment, The Essex and Kent Scottish, The Windsor Support Company (31 Service Battalion) and The HMCS Hunter, participating. A bugler and piper from the military will be adding to the solemnity of the occasion.

President Elect Gord Faas ran this meeting. Youth exchange students Gaspard Jaumotte and Takako Chaen spoke about their experiences thus far. Gaspard commented about the diversity of our city, compared to his home of Belgium. They are both enjoying being students here, and described activities they've been a part of, both at school and with Rotary. Takako described where she's from (Hamada City, Shimane, Japan) and spoke about her family and her interests. Both students are making great strides with learning and improving on their english skills!

Announcing the return of ROTARY NIGHT AT THE THEATRE featuring the University Players’ production of A Street Car Named Desire by Tennessee Williams.
When: Friday, November 2nd at 8 p.m.
Where: Essex Hall Theatre on the main campus of the University of Windsor
Often regarded as one of the finest plays of the 20th century, A Streetcar Named Desire was written in 1947 and tells the story of an impoverished thirty-something named Blanche DuBois who travels from Mississippi to New Orleans to live with her sister, Stella, and her brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski. Blanche and Stanley are like oil and water. Tensions mount as they clash in what is already a volatile Kowalski household.
A dessert soiree will follow immediately after the play at the home of Peter and Denise Hrastovec.
Tickets are $15 and are available through Peter Hrastovec (cash or cheque only).
Be a part of the Club's significant fundraiser. To volunteer please contact Coordinator Walter Willms at 519-966-7150 or walter.willms.windsor@gmail.com. He, or a designate, will be in attendance at every bingo.
