How to join in:Please download the Zoom app onto the device you will use for the meeting (desktop computer, laptop, tablet, mobile). It's also a good idea to test your video and audio settings before the meeting. Zoom can be downloaded from https://zoom.us/downloador from your mobile app store.
Major Paul Rideout and wife Major Kelly are relocating to the Halifax area this month to a position with more responsibility within the Salvation Army. They have been very active in our community serving needy and struggling people. Major Paul was responsible for coordinating members for invocations for the Monday noon hour meetings, along with serving on committees and fundraising activities. He also served one year as an active Club Board member.
As of late, Major Paul was very active with the Windsor Salvation Army organization in the fight against COVID. We will surely miss both of them.
The proceeds from Art in the Park provide support for many of our charities. Most importantly, our club has contributed to funding the refurbishment of Willistead Manor. Over these many years, we have raised more than 1.2 million dollars. Most recently, our efforts have contributed to the much-improved window restorations in the manor. But this year, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel AIP due to COVID-19.
We need your help! If you were going to go to Art in the Park this year or if you were an attendee in the past, please consider contributing the price of admission ($5.00/person) to the Rotary Club of Windsor Foundation Fund.
Help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Kariakoo, one of the busiest market places in Tanzania. Every day, about 1.5 million people pass through this market, making physical distancing nearly impossible. By providing face masks, hand sanitizer, soap and educational resources to low-income market vendors they can continue earning to support their families, and serve their customers, as safely as possible.
Every $10 donation will provide one person with two locally made cloth masks, washing soap, sanitizer, hygiene instructions (in Kiswahili) and will contribute to educational posters to be displayed in the market area. All donations are greatly appreciated and you will receive a tax receipt from PayPal Giving Fund Canada.
