Highlights from the Joint Rotary Club meeting on Wednesday, April 17th: Guest speaker Heather Grondin, Vice-President, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, WDBA-Windsor-DetroitBridgeAuthority gave an update about the GordieHoweInternationalBridge project. Also, students from St. ClairCollege Event Management Program presented a cheque to the Rotary District 6400 Vocational Training Team. Proceeds were raised at their "Evening for Education" event held on April 7th at the CiociaroClubofWindsor. The VTT team is planning on distributing the supplies that will be purchased with these funds in Ghana in May.

Peter Hrastovec reminded the Club about Rotary International's "Every Rotarian Every Year" initiative, which encourages all Rotary Club members to contribute $100 (or the equivalent of the Club's total donations) to Annual Fund every year in order to help Rotary Foundation. Our Club has been able to access grants and do incredible things because we've always managed to reach this EREY goal. It's important we do it again, but we have a ways to go - and only until the end of June to do it. Peter is encouraging everyone to donate what they can to the Annual Fund; each time $500 is reached, Anil will get up on to the podium and tell a joke!
