Congratulations Janet Kelly
On June 28, 2022, at Meet the Governor Night in Harrow, DG Aruna presented Janet Kelly with TheRotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award. This award recognizes individual Rotarians who have demonstrated exemplary service to the Foundation.
For many years, Janet worked with the district on global grants for Group Study Exchanges and Vocational Training Teams. She has also worked on global grants for humanitarian projects.
Janet is one of the district experts on global grant applications and is the first Windsor (1918) Rotarian given this honour.
"Birth Kits" Are Headed to Tanzania
The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) has just finished assembling 400 “birth kits” to distribute in Tanzania! They hope to receive the Rotary Foundation Global Grant to support a Vocational Training Team travelling to Tanzania on October 15-29, 2022.
The team, led by Midwife, Andrea Cassidy, will share birthing skills and knowledge with traditional birth attendants in Masaai villages. Andrea was featured in the November 2021 issue of The Rotary Magazine. Read the story here
The training is in partnership with Tanzanian medical professionals and the Hai Kilimanjaro Rotary club.

The Rotary (1918) Youth Beach Volleyball Tournament Series 2022 and Volleyball Clinics are back!

Tournament Dates:
Sunday, July 24, 2022: Advanced and Intermediate Boys Divisions (Girls are welcome but would be playing in the boy's divisions).
Sunday, August 14, 2022: Beginner Boys and Girls Divisions
Sunday, August 28, 2022: Boys and Girls Advanced and Intermediate Divisions.
Sunday, September 11, 2022: Family Tournament. (Any combination of Family Members).
The start time for all the above events is 10:00 a.m. Approximate finish time 2:00 p.m.

High School Students are invited to register for the Ralph Bunche Institute Virtual Workshop
Wayne State University, Center for Peace and Conflict Studies and the District 6400 Peace Connection invites High School Students in 10-12th Grades and College Freshmen to register for the Ralph Bunche Institute Virtual Workshop to be held on Monday, July 18th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
Students will learn about conflict resolution, youth non-violence, anti-bullying, restorative justice, diversity, multiculturalism, social justice, and more.
All high school youth and college freshmen must apply and register to attend the virtual workshop. Registration Due July 11, 2022
