Ghana 2022

Dec 2022, the team including Dr. Godfrey Bacheyie, Bernadette Bacheyie, Ron Arkell, Cynthia Blanchard, Gordon Drake, Mary Lou Drake & Karen Howard, continued the tradition of bringing change to many of the problems that affect Ghana. Working collaboratively with Rotarian, Father Bennette, a Ghanaian & priest who lives in the region helps facilitate the work of the RCW (1918). Funds were donated to drill 9 wells, bringing the total count donated by the Rotary (1918) to 86. The club donated 500 insecticide-treated mosquito nets to pregnant & nursing mothers, to reduce sickness & death from malaria. The club also unveiled the Tony Howard Memorial Park in the Tankuri Village. Spearheaded by Karen Howard, in memory of her late husband Tony Howard. Additional funds were raised to support children at the Jirapa & Nakwabi orphanages.
