Chairs of three of the Club's major fundraisers - Art in the Park, Volleyball Beach Bash and Children's Fest - provided a recap of the events.

Neil McTavish began his presentation by explaining why he's passionate about our newly established Rotary Beach Bash Volleyball fundraiser, and the plan for it to become an annual initiative. He presented Joel Rankine and partner Pierce Johnson, winners of the Open Doubles, with a sentimental trophy. Neil explained that Joel's dad Gary had made the trophy for Neil when he held a volleyball fundraiser 20 years ago and had no money to buy a trophy. Overall, volleyball was a successful fundraiser this year with the potential to grow in the future.

Randy Winters, chair of Art in the Park, showed a video that was generously created by Stephen Courtney and David Wharton of Pangraphica, who captured hours of footage at this year's event. The team had attended AIP for many years and wanted to record this year, given that it's our 40th Anniversary. The event brought approximately 22,000 visitors this year, which is around what we've typically done in the past - great, considering the bit of rain we had on one of the days this year.

Janet Kelly, Children's Fest Chair, and Pat Kelly and Luciana Rosu-Sieza (Bana) presented a very positive report for this year's event. Even though there were some more expenses, Children's Fest was up in both attendance and revenue. It was quite a successful year, and we're looking forward to next year's event, which will mark our 25th Anniversary holding Children's Fest in the community!
