Janet Kelly from our Club accepted the Windsor Star’s Civic Beautification Award – In Memory of Bill Higgins at United Way Windsor-Essex's "Volunteers Changing Lives Awards" held on April 17th.

"This award recognizes the voluntary efforts that contribute to the civic beautification of public spaces through visual, artistic or environmental improvements, resulting in beautiful shared spaces for the residents of Windsor and/or Essex County". One way we wanted to celebrate our Centennial this past year was to choose 2 legacy projects that would benefit our community: The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) Centennial Plaza, located on on Windsor's riverfront, just east of the Spirit of Windsor locomotive and The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) Centennial Hub, which features A 3-kilometre trail that connects the Chrysler Canada Greenway, Herb Gray Parkway Trails and Town of Lasalle Trails. Many thanks for the recognition!
