Remembering those who have served our country.

Our Club held its annual Remembrance Day luncheon on Monday, November 4th, honouring the courage and sacrifice of those who served our country. Thank you to Captain (Navy) Dan Manu-Popa, Director of Reserves, Canadian Armed Forces for travelling from Ottawa to be our guest speaker, and to all the military personnel from The Windsor Regiment, The Essex and Kent Scottish, The Windsor Support Company (31 Service Battalion) and The HMCS Hunter. Special thank-you to special guest Bernard Cote, a Korean War Veteran - we were so happy he was able to join us. Playing the pipes was Corporal Nathan Duczman from The Essex & Kent Scottish Pipes & Drums and the bugle, Master Corporal Lepain from The Windsor Regiment (RCAC). Thankful for President-Elect Gerry Pocock for arranging the program, Andrea Grimes for her leadership and to Peter Hrastovec for his readings of In Flanders Fields, Act of Remembrance and Commitment to Remember.
