Dr. Myron Hylnka joined our meeting to talk about the Crisis in Ukraine.
His 4 grandparents are from Ukraine, and his family have been very active in the Canadian-Ukrainian community. Dr.. Hylnka presented a high level summary of the history of Ukraine, which includes alliances with and invasions from neighbouring countries including Russia. He noted that it is interesting that the national anthem of Ukraine includes the line "Ukraine has not died yet."
