In keeping with Vocational Service, Rotary’s theme of the month, Peter Berry, Windsor Harbour Master, presented an overview of his responsibilities.

Peter is one of only 16 harbour masters in Canada and over sees 6,000 – 9,000 ships passing through the port of Windsor each year with 16.5 billion dollars in trade. Although Peter is not originally from the area he has developed a passion for the west end and shared the many initiatives that are transforming the area. He has worked with John Elliott of STAG to provide the area’s young people with positive role models and lifestyle opportunities which were not available to them in the past. This led to a suggestion that STAG could be a future service project.
