Monday, August 24th, we welcomed Social Media Strategist, Taylor Lanoie to discuss how Rotary can harness the power of social media to grow their membership and increase their fundraising!
Taylor has experience helping brands across Canada, the US and Europe amplify their voices online to accomplish their mission! She is passionate about working with community-centric brands, working for the better of people and the planet!
She started her presentation by explaining how social media doesn't work like a newspaper or a magazine, just because an ad or an article posted on social media doesn't mean that your followers see it. We discovered the importance of engaging with the content posted to social media and how sharing and commenting could impact the number of people exposed to Rotary and its mission!
She shared how the power of social media and can help to support our three goals for this year.

Unfortunately, COVID has made it exceptionally hard for most non-profits to raise money, so armed with the knowledge of an upcoming fundraiser for Rotary, Taylor came prepared with a strategy so our members can spread the word more effectively and hopefully make the most out of this fundraising event!
