Marlene Corey, Director and Producer at Cogeco YourTV, was our guest speaker for International Women’s Day. She shared her experience as a leader in the industry over the past 30 years.
She is most proud of how she lives the Athena principles; they include: to live authentically, learn constantly, advocate fiercely, act courageously, foster collaboration, build relationships, give back and celebrate! These eight principles have been the foundation of her story.
Working in a technical field, she would often look around the room and be the only woman. To all other women, she says, “Be bold and be daring. If you don’t ask for the opportunity – they won’t come to you.”
She enjoys mentoring young women and sharing her passion. These experiences have brought her so much joy and helped her learn so much.
