You're Invited to the Annual Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) Fish Fry for Ghana!
Friday, July 25, 2025 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
We hope you'll join us for an evening of great company and delicious food—right by the water—all in support of a vital cause.
This year, our fundraising efforts are focused on the Upper West region of Ghana, the birthplace of our very own Windsor neonatologist, Dr. Godfrey Bacheyie. We are proud to be joined by the Rotary Club of Tecumseh-Lakeshore, supporting water initiatives in central Ghana with Father Stephen.
Why We're Raising Funds:

To drill water wells in villages with no access to clean water. Safe water reduces the spread of disease, saves lives, and improves daily living.

To help girls stay in school. In many communities, girls must walk long distances to fetch water, often causing them to leave school early.

To expand farming through water harvesting. We partnered with the Ghanaian government to build a dam, allowing farmers to grow two crops annually instead of one. The success has spurred interest in expanding this water management system, including the need for fencing to protect crops from animals.

To provide school essentials. Many children from farming families still need shoes, supplies, and meals to support their education.
